Building the science
of better absorption.

Veg Nutraceuticals is an R&D company developing delivery technology for plant-based bioactive compounds. We are currently assembling our founding scientific team in Poland.

The Challenge
Many of the most researched plant-based bioactives are poorly absorbed by the human body — not because they lack efficacy, but because delivery science has not kept pace with nutritional science.
Our Focus
We are developing a delivery platform designed to protect bioactive compounds in transit and release them where absorption actually occurs — a technology built to work across multiple ingredients.
Our Stage
R&D programme launching 2026. Laboratory being established in Poland. Founding team being assembled now.

About Us

A science-first company,
built from the ground up.

Veg Nutraceuticals is a Polish R&D company focused on improving how the human body absorbs plant-derived bioactive compounds. Our work sits at the intersection of formulation science, gastrointestinal physiology, and functional nutrition — applied specifically to the needs of adults over 40.

We operate an R&D-first model. Our laboratory is being established in Poland, and our founding scientific team is being assembled now — ahead of a structured, multi-year research programme launching in 2026.

We are not building another supplement brand. We are developing the delivery technology that makes plant-based supplementation genuinely more effective — and we intend to validate everything we claim through rigorous, reproducible science.

Our commercial model is built on platform licensing and co-development partnerships with supplement manufacturers and ingredient companies across Europe and beyond.

The Problem We Are Solving

Good ingredients.
Poor delivery.

Many of the most extensively researched plant-based bioactive compounds share a common limitation: poor bioavailability. The science supporting their health benefits is well-established. The gap is in how they are delivered to the body.

The biology
Fat-soluble compounds struggle in a water-based gut
Many plant bioactives are lipophilic — they do not dissolve readily in the aqueous environment of the gastrointestinal tract, limiting the amount the body can actually absorb and use.
Existing solutions
Current formats offer partial improvement with real trade-offs
Existing delivery approaches — oil suspensions, liposomal formats, absorption enhancers — each carry limitations in stability, cost, consumer acceptability, or manufacturing complexity.
Our direction
A platform that works across multiple compounds in a familiar format
We are developing a delivery platform designed for shelf stability, scalable manufacturing, and consumer-friendly formats — tablets and capsules — without sacrificing absorption performance.

The Biology We Design For

Longevity science
is the context.

The bioactive compounds our delivery platform is designed to carry are not random choices. They are among the most studied plant-derived molecules in longevity and healthy ageing research. Understanding why they matter biologically is central to understanding why delivery precision matters at all.

01
Inflammaging

Chronic, low-grade, sterile inflammation — coined “inflammaging” by Claudio Franceschi — is now considered one of the primary biological drivers of age-related disease. Unlike acute inflammation, it persists without a resolved trigger, quietly accelerating tissue damage across multiple organ systems over decades.

Several plant polyphenols have been shown to modulate key inflammatory pathways including NF-κB signalling and NLRP3 inflammasome activation. The challenge has always been delivering sufficient systemic concentrations to where they are needed — the problem we are solving.

02
Autophagy

Autophagy — the cellular process by which damaged or dysfunctional components are degraded and recycled — declines significantly with age. Impaired autophagic flux is implicated in the accumulation of misfolded proteins and damaged organelles associated with neurodegeneration and accelerated cellular ageing.

Plant-derived compounds with autophagy-inducing activity have demonstrated compelling preclinical profiles. Their bioavailability from oral supplements, however, is highly variable and often the primary limiting factor in translating in-vitro activity to meaningful in-vivo outcomes.

03
Mitochondrial Function

Mitochondrial efficiency declines with age — driven by accumulated oxidative damage, impaired biogenesis, and disrupted mitophagy. The result is reduced cellular energy output, increased reactive oxygen species production, and a feedback loop that accelerates further mitochondrial deterioration.

Compounds that support mitochondrial health are predominantly lipophilic — poorly soluble, inconsistently absorbed, and highly sensitive to gastrointestinal conditions. Effective delivery is not an optional enhancement; it is a prerequisite for meaningful effect.

04
Cellular Senescence

Senescent cells — those that have permanently exited the cell cycle but resist apoptosis — accumulate with age and secrete a pro-inflammatory cocktail known as the SASP (senescence-associated secretory phenotype), driving tissue dysfunction and systemic frailty.

Senolytic compounds represent one of the most active frontiers in longevity biology. Several plant-derived candidates in this space are of direct relevance to our research agenda — and again, bioavailability is the central limiting factor in translating their activity from bench to supplement.

The thread that connects them
Across all four of these biological domains, the most studied plant-derived candidates share a common limitation: they are lipophilic, poorly absorbed, and highly sensitive to gastrointestinal conditions. Longevity science has identified the right molecules. Delivery science needs to catch up. That is the work we are doing in Poland.

Research Agenda

Four areas.
One platform.

Our research programme is structured around four scientific disciplines. Together they form the evidence base required to develop, validate, and scale our delivery platform.

01
Formulation Science
Design, development, and optimisation of delivery matrices using food-grade ingredients. Systematic formulation work grounded in design-of-experiment methodology.
02
Gastrointestinal Evaluation
In-vitro testing of compound release and bioaccessibility across gastrointestinal conditions, using validated digestion models to assess real-world performance.
03
Stability Assessment
Long-term stability and shelf-life evaluation under accelerated and real-time storage conditions, with structural analysis to understand how formulation changes affect performance.
04
Reproducibility & Scale
Batch-to-batch consistency evaluation and process robustness testing — the foundation for eventual scale-up to contract manufacturing and commercial licensing.

Join the Team

Build something
from first principles.

We are assembling the founding scientific team for our our laboratory. This is an opportunity to join at the very beginning — to shape the research direction, the methodology, and the scientific culture of a company being built on evidence, not trend.

We are particularly interested in scientists with backgrounds in formulation chemistry, food science, gastrointestinal physiology, or nutritional biochemistry — and in people who care about doing the work properly.

We are looking for people with expertise in:
Pharmaceutical or nutraceutical formulation science
Gastrointestinal physiology or digestion modelling
Food chemistry or lipid science
Analytical chemistry and physicochemical characterisation
Nutritional biochemistry or bioavailability research
